I read this article about Vietnam . Interesting to know about the changes.

Last Year I had an opportunity to work LHV (http://www.lhv.vn/) a software company at Vietnam. I was trying understand the changes in Vietnam since then and this article came handy.

I told her I don't mind begging since I am having rich friends like her. She replied she is preparing for interviews and fwd she didn't had bad luck to happen. I don't know fwd'ing brings you good luck? If so I can write a program that can fwd this mail every min to some 12 peoples...

Give me a break.... Is there anything called luck. Is it same as right place at right time?

Carnation Revolution Celebration

Portugal today is celebrating the anniversary Carnation Revolution. Being in Lisbon down town it was fun and take part in the celebrations.

Morning I waked up from loud music from Restauradores square where my hotel is situated. Restauradores was the ending point of the Marathon or running race. After a quick break fast we joined the road to see the marathon. There were lot of ladies selling Red Carnation flowers and some one is selling stickers too. One old lady put stickers in our dress and we had shell out 2 Euros for the same.

We were roaming round the city till evening and evening when we reached Rossio square by 6 pm there was huge procession of PCP ( Portugal Communist Party). There were lots of people with bands, music, dancing, shouting slogans, posters, fancy dress ... It was a festive time (or protest time?). Me and my wife wait in the mid of the road and watching it.

We too got Carnation flower and was so tired when we reached the hotel where I am writing this now.

Yesterday the Kerala Govt and CP(I)M celebrated the Olympic Relay of torch light in India. They did it with the Indian Tax Payers money.

Even if any one like or not, China is another crusader in Tibet and like US in Afghan or Iraq. There is no difference between two.

I hate you CP(I)M and friends. Why do you live paradox? Why can't you be with crucified than justifying a crucifier.

We hate you and your Govt and given a chance you will also be a crucifier. Really I hate you.

Sisphus and Naranath Bhranthen

I was reading tech article and came across Sisphus, the greek mythological character. This story has intresting similarities with the kerala folk lore of about Naranath Bhranthen

Cebola and More

I am writing this Blog from Lisbon. I am here for month on a Business Trip. For the first time my wife also came with me on the trip. After 13 hour long flight Bangalore to Lisbon through Frankfurt she doesn't want any more flights. The crowded and no legs space economy seats makes flight journey horrible.

We explored to a supper market on day 1 itself the get some food. She figured out that the Portuguese word for Onion is Cebola and while the mallu word is “Sabola” and “Savola”.

It is pretty cold and rainy out here. I am trying to learn how to live here!! Have fun!!

Martin Luther King, A dream deferred?

Today I read this story about African Americans in the economist.

I had opportunities to visit and work US corporations in East Coast and Bay Area. The no. of African Americans working in these companies can be easily countable. I think you find more Inidans or Asians.

Expat Indians in America are nothing very different. Should see Mississippi Masala by Meera Nair. I think 1991 movie still holds value and worth watching it again.
