The Alchemist

I came across this novel when my Friend Shibu told me about it and its influence in his life. It was back in 2004 when he came to Bangalore. I read some other books from Paulo Choello and always kept away from this book. Friday evening I had a copy the book with me when I left to Kottayam by train. I opened the book when the train left Bangalore and next 4-5 hours the book held me completely. I read the last page and I was lot of energey.

It is a very inspiring book and a true Alchemist which can change people's life. I think I am not carried away by it so much but still it left big impact on me. I needs another reading.
It has lot of the christian myths in it like the shepherds are first one to see the King....

The idea of suffering is much more that the suffering itself. I always had more pain when I see the nurse approaching me with a syringe. The actual injuction was never painfull. I think I am a comfortable state and afraid loosing my comforts. This is holding me back pursue my dreams. But do I have a dream?
