Thulasidas - Dileep drama taken new turns now with unions getting splitted in Mallu movie Industry. Suddenly the swami's are gone inside pages or news with out any visuals and analysis. Look at Santhosh Madhavan. He is no where in news. രണ്ടു നാലു ദിനംകൊണ്ട്...........
It is good that Thulasidas is not getting an opportunity to make another bad movie. He had created enough garbage in last the couple of years. Vinayan has created couple of good movies and most them he created with out the help of any coccus. He put Kalabhavan Mani to the main stream. It was great stuff he hid. I think this time he got in the bad books of a wrong person. Producers union says that he is the next one to eliminated. Does unionism can protect jobs where creativity is the core needed to execute a job?
Favouritism and coccus in mallu movie industry is a very visible one. There was Trivandrum lobby before and now the Cochin one. Thilakan was sidelined from mallu movie now. Is it something to do with his issues in Amma?

ഇത് ഇവരുടെയൊക്കെ നാശത്തിനല്ലാതെ മറ്റെന്തിനാണ്.

You mean Vasanthiyum Lachumiyum? Horrible!!! That fellow has always played the game of cashing in on the soft-corner people have for the physically challenged. And that time around it clicked in the box office. Dont call that good movie :(
All these big directors have earned more than they need and they have no problem no malayalam movie is released for years.. but those poor workers.. light boys. spot boys etc.. they r going to suffer.. a lot... in this shameless ego clash of all buggers out there
Although there is lot of melo drama of displaying handicapped life, Still I would say "Vanthiyum Laksmiyum..." is a good movie. It was a break from the mimicry and feudal goons. The cruel end with rape of two girls shows the exploitation of the week by the rich and powerful still exists in our society. It is a eye opener for mallu movie! It needs lot courage to make a movie like that especially with Kalabhavan Mani as the hero.
I also agree with srinivasan. He asked the right question. These guys like Ambili and Baiju kottarakkara don't remember when they made a movie last time. Srinivasan with all these statement still able to make good movies and make a great satire of mallu movie industry. To script a movie like Udayananu Tharam needs lot of courage. It was a satire on the industry. I would say if he said something he earned to say that and he is not afraid of the consequences.
The movies are created not for the giving jobs to the light boys or technicians... If we are creating moving for providing jobs for people the industry will die. We are seeing lots of flops because of it. It should be created only if a director has good script and he should feel as he is doing a creative art not a job. When it is job we don't watch it. After seeing some movies I always felt It would have been better if it was not ever created.
When I wrote this blog I wrote about Thilakan been sidelined. Now it is becoming another controversy... Have fun following it. He explicitly told about the upper cast domination in Mallu movie industry.
